Program: 2 days/ 1 night
CIRCUIT: Yaurisque-Mauk´allaqta-hacienda HuaynacanchaA walk in nice valleys with small Quechua speaking villages to the Puma Orqo rock where is the origin of the legend of the brothers Ayar ending up in the pre-inca and inca ruins of Mauk´allagta, where people are working on restoration for several years now. The altitude is between 2900m and 3350m.
Itinerary:
1st day: Transport from Cusco to Yaurisque, start of the hike. Optional visit of the hot springs near Yaurisque. Walk by the remains of Pallata, down to Puma Orqo and about one hour more to Mauk´allagta. Camp near the ruins.
2nd day: Explore the ruins in a guided tour, lunch. After lunch walk down to the hacienda Huaynacancha. Transport back to Cusco.
