Lares Machupicchu Hike

CIRCUIT: Collpana – Huaran – Machupicchu - Cusco

In this hike we include the Machupicchu archaeological site, during the hike days we will cross passes of 4600 m.h. Also we will visit the Andean towns of Quishuarani, Cancha Cancha and the Fundo Huaran. Along the trail we will see llamas and alpacas and Andeans homes and people ….

ITINERARY:

1st day: Early departure from Cusco city to the town of Calca to continue the trip to PASCANA ZONE, here we meet the horsemen to start the hike.

We hike up to Quishuarani Andean town, nice view of the Lares Valley, we cross clouds mountains; also we can see llamas and alpacas animals.

2nd day: Early climb to the pass of 4600 m.h. (PACHACUTEC), view of the mountains Pitusiray, Sahuasiray and green lagoons, we descend to the camping side of Cancha Cancha, we meet local people to talk in Quechua language. Hike of 6 hours to the camping site.

3rd day: Canchacancha - Huaran – Machupicchu

Along the river all walking down to Huaran in the Sacred Valley (2830) in 3 h. From there transfer to Ollanta to get the train to Machupicchu.

4^th day: Early departure to start the guided tour of Machupicchu. Pm. Return to Cusco, transfers to the hostal.
